Mid Kent Outdoor Pursuits and Social Group is nearly 25 years old and is as strong as ever, with about 50 members across a wide age range. The group gives us all an excellent way of meeting people who share a love of the outdoors and allows us all to try activities that wouldn't be possible to do on our own, as well as events like cycling and walking around Maidstone, Medway and the surrounding countryside. All events are organised locally by our own members, and if there's something you'd like to try it's up to you to suggest it! We meet on Tuesday evenings and most weekends, and events generally take place in the Maidstone and Medway areas.

We'd like you to come along to a few of our events to get a feel for the group before you join us. When you do join us the membership is a very reasonable £20 per year, which covers our overheads and is used to subsidise our more active events. We are affiliated to the YHA, which gives us the benefits of Group YHA membership for weekends away and provides a YHA Insurance policy to cover us at our organised events.
