The Group was formed back in 1986 and from an initial group of half a dozen the group now has a membership of around 30 full and 15 weekend members. We accept members who are over 18 years of age. The age range of the members starts at early twenties and continues into their forties.

The subscriptions for the group are due annually and currently stand at £20 for full membership, which includes subsidised events, or £5 for weekend membership that basically covers the distribution of a programme. Both memberships include the subscription to the YHA Insurance scheme. When new members join during the year the subscriptions are pro-rata'd.

We meet on Tuesday evenings and at weekends for a wide range of active and social events, which vary depending on the season. In order to keep in touch with the group or find out about any extra events being organised you're quite welcome to meet the group in the advertised pub if you're not participating in the event.

The Members' Area of the website contains more detailed information about our events, including contact details for the event's organiser, plus an online diary to help plan events in the future. Use it if you are planning to organise an event and want to make sure it won't clash with anything else. As soon as you joint the group we'l give you the access details
